Andrea qualified from UCD in 1994 and worked in equine and mixed practice in the U.K and in New Zealand before returning to Ireland in 1999 having completed an RCVS certificate in Equine Practice. In 2010 she gained an RCVS certificate in Equine Stud Medicine from the Royal Veterinary College.
Andrea is the managing director of Kilcash Equine Clinic and divides her time between practice management and clinical work. Her main area of interest is in disease prevention, herd health and bloodstock management. She attends Goffs and Tattersalls sales as a panel vet and does racecourse duty at Tramore races. Andrea is a recent convert to cold water swimming and Triathlons

Shane qualified in 1994 from UCD and worked in both mixed and equine practice in the U.K. and in New Zealand before returning to Ireland in 1998. In 2011 and 2014 he completed RCVS certificates in Advanced Equine Practice in Soft Tissue and Orthopedic Surgery from the University of Liverpool. Shane spends most of his time vetting horses and doing racehorse and sport horse performance work. He has a particular interest in lameness investigation and orthopedic surgery. He also works on the veterinary panel at Goffs, Monart and Goresbridge sales and does racecourse duty at Tramore races. On the off chance of a windy day, Shane likes to escape to the sea and go kitesurfing.

Carmel completed an honours degree in Equine Science before going to Edinburgh to study Veterinary where she graduated in 2009. After working a stud season in Australia, she returned to the U.K. to work as senior stud vet in a busy equine practice in Wokingham for 5 years. Carmel gained an RCVS certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in Equine Stud Medicine from the University of Liverpool in 2015. Having returned home and joined Kilcash equine Clinic in 2016, Carmel became a director in 2019. She enjoys all aspects of equine reproduction including mare and stallion management, neonatal care, Frozen AI and embryo Transfer. She also works on the veterinary panel at Goffs. In her free time, Carmel enjoys running with her dogs, following Formula 1 and sneaking off to Burghley or Blair in the off season.
BVM&S MRCVS CertAVP(EM)
After completing a science degree from NUIG in 2008, Trudi studied Veterinary in Edinburgh and graduated in 2012. She worked in equine practice in both the curragh and in New Zealand before joining Kilcash Equine clinic in 2020. In 2024 Trudi obtained an RCVS certificate in Advanced Equine Practice in Internal Medicine. She has a particular interest in stud medicine, internal medicine and anaesthesia. Trudi loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking in the beautiful mountains of Tipperary in her free time.

Siobhan graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest in 2022 having previously studied Equine Science in UCD. After a 6 month stint in mixed practice, Siobhan completed an internship in Lisadell Equine Hospital. Siobhan started at our clinic in February 2024 and has a particular interest in reproduction and racehorse performance. Siobhan is doing the 2024 southern hemisphere season in Australia and will then be coming back to us for the 2025 breeding season. When she is not working at Kilcash Equine Clinic, Siobhan is busy preparing her National Hunt stores for sales and point-to-point training.

Gemma joined the practice in 2018 after qualifying from Dundalk IT. Gemma runs the laboratory and oversees procurement which keeps her very busy. She also manages to find time to keep us updated on the racing and competition results of our clients horses. Gemma is a qualified AI technician and she carries out Fresh AI during the breeding season.

Aisling joined the practice in 2022 having worked in both mixed and equine practice. She oversees the surgical patients before and after surgery and enjoys this role. Aisling has an adventurous spirit and loves to travel. She recently completed a veterinary nursing volunteer program in Tanzania.
